Crop-Based Products that Replace Petroleum-Based Products- GRANTS

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is seeking research grant funding applications from any person, public or private agency, or organization for its program to
 "... develop and demonstrate industrial polymers that are manufactured from domestically produced agricultural materials and are of strategic and industrial importance to benefit the economy, defense and general well-being of the Nation. Many such products replace petrochemical-based products, and offer opportunities to create new businesses and new markets for agricultural materials ..."
NIFA anticipates having approximately $1,000,000 in total available grant funds for the program for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012.
