Presentation Spotlight "Synthesis and Application of High Molecular Weight Sulfonates"

Dr. Paul D Berger (VP/Technical Director Oil Chem Technologies, Inc.) kindly provided his presentation "Synthesis and Application of High Molecular Weight Sulfonates" that he presented during the Tuesday Morning S&D 2: Surfactants in Energy Session at the 104th AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo

Dr. Berger has been an AOCS member for over 40 years. In 2001, he received the Samuel Rosen Award from the Surfactants and Detergents Division of AOCS.

 Dr. Berger writes:
"I have found the meetings to be an excellent forum to exchange information and to keep abreast of the latest technology involving surfactants. It is the foremost and most comprehensive gathering of surfactant technology in the US. I hope my contribution to the program will stimulate others just as the presentations of others has stimulated and enhanced my knowledge concerning surfactants over the years."

Monday is a busy day at the 104th AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo! Start your day with The Forum on Emerging Technologies which promises to:
"encompass global discussions on matters that affect the future of our industries. These informative sessions expand beyond the science to address how current critical issues impact the business of fats and oils."
Then join us for the AOCS Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon which will feature a special performance. (Note: you must have a ticket for lunch). Following the business meeting dessert will be served in the Expo Hall-join us for a 'Sweet Retreat' as well as  a Young Professional Networking event!

Your Guide to the AOCS Annual Meeting and Expo

Whether you are a first time attendee or a seasoned veteran here are some tips for navigating the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo.

1. Plan your Schedule in Advance -There are lots of things to do at the AOCS Annual Meeting. From the technical program to the exhibition, networking events and committee meetings, carefully planning your schedule can maximize your Annual Meeting experience.

All registered delegates should have received an email for the Itinerary Builder.
You can use the AOCS Itinerary Builder to:
  • Choose the sessions you want to attend and print the corresponding abstracts*
*NOTE: Printed abstract booklets will NOT be available at the 104td AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo so plan accordingly!

    Abstracts for the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo -Going Green!

    In a responsible effort to encourage sustainability, the abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 104th AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo will be provided only in electronic format.
    That means you need to plan your schedule and print your abstracts before you go. If you aren’t registered, it isn’t too late to check out the program and register on site.

    An email to all registered delegates containing login information for the abstracts and itinerary builder was sent Tuesday April 16, 2013.

    If you did not receive your information for abstract access please contact meetings@aocs.org.

    Use the AOCS Itinerary Builder to:
