AOCS mourns the loss of Tom Applewhite.
Dr. Applewhite, a leader in the fields of fats, oils, and oilseeds, was a long-time AOCS member. He served six years as the Editor of the Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society (JAOCS) and was the founding Editor of AOCSs' membership magazine inform. Dr. Applewhite won the prestigious AOCS Alton E. Bailey Award as well as the A. Richard Baldwin Distinguished Service Award.
