Fats and Oils –the Food vs Fuel dilemma? AAOCS Biennial Meeting 2013

AAOCS 2013 will provide an opportunity to learn and share science and industry progress related to all aspects of fats and oils. This year’s theme is around the debate over the production of oils for the use for food verses the growing their use in biofuels.

AAOCS 2013 plans to feature:
  • Leaders from the food and bio fuels industries 
  • Leaders in the new area of biomaterials and how this affects the future of the edible oils and fats industry
  • A joint day with the Omega 3 centre, highlighting the latest research on omega 3 oils.
  • Workshop on frying and frying technologies
  • Hot Topic Symposia
This meeting will  provide a social setting where the latest in the oil and fats industry, science and health can be discussed and connections made or renewed.
