    AOCS Foundation Silent Auction Preview

If you like helping others and also love to shop we hope you will join us for the 18th Annual AOCS Foundation Silent Auction which will be held at the 104th AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo.

The auction opens Sunday April 28th at 1:00pm in the Expo Hall (Hall 220). Proceeds fund AOCS student programs, specifically, the AOCS Honored Student Award.

With more than 120 items, it was difficult to decide which to preview so I went for variety:

      iPOD
    • Electronics are always popular donations and this year we will have a 16GB iPod Nano 7th Generation Donated by Graham Corp.

    • Gift baskets are always in high demand and the auction will boast several. Amongst these are the Oreo gift set (donated by Mondelēz International and the Aveeno Gift Set (donated by Johnson & Johnson Personal Products).
    Gift Sets!
    • For the art lovers DSM has donated two professional pictures from the well-known San Diego based photographer Agathe Padovani.

Finally, I leave with the item I personally covet:
    • A Decorated Emu Egg (donated by American Emu Association)
    MINE!
See you at the auction and you best step away from the pony egg come Tuesday, April 30th at 5:30 when the auction closes.

    Happy bidding all!
