Shopping (for a cause) -The AOCS Foundation Silent Auction

Like California? Love shopping? Enjoy helping others? If you answered yes to any of these questions join us for the AOCS Foundation Silent Auction held at the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo in Long Beach, California.

Foundation Manager Amy Lydic with a Few of the items
The AOCS Foundation is a federally tax-exempt not-for-profit charitable corporation established in
1986. It has raised nearly $2 million dollars to support professionals interested in the science and technology of oils, fats, surfactants, and related materials through AOCS.

The 17th Annual Silent Auction raises funds for student programs, such as the AOCS Honored Student Award.

This year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are offering a record 120 items (and counting!).

  • Remote control speedboat donated by Surface Chemists of Florida, Inc.
  • Antique books donated by Dr. Frank Gunstone
  • Full technical registration to the 104th AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo, May 2013 donated by AOCS Meetings Department

These are just a few of the items you can bid on thanks to our very generous donors. There is still time to donate. Not sure what to donate? Ask yourself “What would I want to bid on?”
